Persepolis
1) Persepolis is telling a story and commenting on the importance of stories in our lives. what do you think the book suggests about how stories SHAPE and GIVE MEANING to Satrapi's experience or to our own experience ?.
Persepolis is not only a young girl telling her story her experience in the Islamic revolution but a number of stories that were told to her that shaped her as a person and made her more aware of what was happening.
2) i agree with this.since she was a young girl she wanted to become a prophet. she wanted to help the people around her.but as time progressed and she began to lose people that where closet to her or had a very emotional experience and needed his guidance she could not find him.
3) Social classes play a huge role in the Iranian culture in that time period. in the letter the maid fell in love with her neighbor and once he found out that she was a maid he gave up on his love in less than a heart beat. peasant dont know how to read or right. couldnt date outside of your social class
Persepolis is one girls perception on the dramatic and traumatizing situations that were going on around her at such a young age.
